My Review
This is a fairly short story - just under a 2 hour read - but it still has a good plot and well rounded characters.
I tried second guessing how the book would end and neither of my guesses were anywhere close to the actual ending! The book is written with immense humour and is a wonderful pick-me-up read. Carver seems a little cocky at first but as we get to know him we see a more vulnerable side to him. He was so hot it was impossible to resist him. Amity was a strong heroine and I really warmed to both her and Carver.
The writing is of a high quality, the plot had good pace, the story flowed well and was easy to read. In a short time the author managed to build a world and two strong characters that I certainly bought into. I loved both Carver and Amity and couldn't wait to see how the CEO battle was resolved.
I've never been disappointed by this author and am pleased to say that this book is just as good as any of her longer novels.
